Well, if any of you remember, I've been having problems with the RS for some time now. A lot of stuff has been changed & fixed. And just when I thought the car was running good, it started to run all messed up again. Now here comes the funny part & should teach everyone that sometimes the solution to the problem is not always what you think it'll be & sometimes the easiest to fix.

After doing my last "attempted fix" I let the car run at idle for almost an hour. I failed to realize that I was almost out of gas & the car eventually died out. Ok no problem, I'll just get more gas. I dump in a couple of gallons of gas that I picked up that day, fired up the car, & guess what..........It purred like a kitten. The gas I had in the tank was either bad from the car sitting too long over the year & just now started to show, or All the crud from the bottom of a 15 year old tank started to creep through the lines since I was running almost on "Elvis".

Now here is the funny part. I decided to take the car for a test drive not too long ago & the worst possible thing happened. My fuel pump died I am on the verge of cracking up & being taken to a mental facility already! What luck!

 

Man who do hand stand is crack up!!! You can have my old L03 pump if you want. I gotta install a TPI pump anyway.

 

Funny stuff. I still think that all these unfortunate events with the RS are signs from the "Car Gods" to hurry up & go with my intended plan of a carbed 350.

 

Damn. I never would have guessed that. How old was the gas?
