Some of the guys here have also been searching for an extra 700R4, so don't think there's much available right now on our little circle of parting-out. The 700R4 in my '92 Z28 will be available soon when my Pro-Built and Edge Convertor arrive. Of course, the old trans is uh, busted...

Ask Robert (this guy... HI85WH1). I really have no idea.

My truck hasn't been touched in a long time. Other cars had some issues to take care of first. I'm only just now planning what to do with my blazer, still probably throwin' in the 305.

To the best of my knowedge, it was... I drove it around.. went into drive and reverse without any hesitation.... but sine the shifter was messed-up (rigged) I only drove it around the block...

1-2 shift was sold, as was 2-3... never got it into OD...

Scott, do you recall how many miles were on the M/T?...

Gilbert,

When I bought the car, I trailered it home since the car was expired...
All I got to do was drive it around the block a couple of times.. but it shifted well... but never had enough speed to get it into OD

Hey Scott, If you know who GeckoSS is, he wanted me to pass the word that he has a T5. Don't know what it comes with but asking price is $300 OBO. I'll be able to get more details from him tomorrow. LMK if you want details or contact info. stew

edit:First of all disregard...secondly the ATF trans was filled with gear oil...thirdly...if the price is fair...I want it for myself!!! lol stew

Gilbert, I found you a trans. Its a 700R4 w/ fresh rebuild 0 miles. My good friend James rebuilt it. He rebuilds transmissions out of his garage in Aiea. He's an old school hot rodder, really know his stuff. I dont have his phone number right now (at work) but I'll have it when I get home. I'll send you a PM or something.

Scott, Anthony gave me a T5 for free. Unknown condition. I wanted to try my hand at rebuilding it for giggles but I've been too busy. If you want it you can have it for free.

Yeah I wouldn't mind taking that off your hands... if you're sure you don't want it.

There's also one in the paper for $500. I think it read, "recently refreshed" or "rebuilt" or something like that. But even for those prices, it might be best to rebuild it yourself.
