Tel ya all what, go down to your local parts bastard outlet and see what price they give ya for whatever chinese brand crap they sell.
I don't mind making a deal but dayuummmm, good qualkity parts are not cheap. This isn't 1975 folks, this isn't some autozip brand of part that retailed for $9.95.
I'm venting because of some jackass offering $10 shipped.
The friggin' shipping is $7, i'm gonna take the time to wrap and box a quality part for friggin $3 ??????
I DON'T F'N THINK SO MUTHAPHUKER!!!!!!!!!!!!

WTF!!!!

Go buy some PepBoys schit part and trust your life to it for $3
I really don't give 2 schitz how hard it's becoming to find parts for these cars anymore, enough is enough.

Best offer or in the trash?.............hmmm iguess this mean best offer over "x"amount.why dont you just come out and say what the hell you want for the damn thing before you start bashing folk.
ok maybe its worth more but maybe some of your fellow 3rd geners cant afford it and are trying to getting a good deal, can you fault them for that? or is that beneath you?

If you were ever in the position of being the seller of a few hundred parts, you might understand the myriad of BS that is encountered.
Until then, don't judge me or my actions, period !

You do not even come close to having a clue there JUNIOR.
I don't have ANY parts left to sell, only a few dozen to haul over to the dumpster tomorrow morning.

I'd rather walk 20' and throw it away than take the time and effort to package it up so i can give it away !

Tired of the pussefied whining about 1/4 of the retail price for something that's in excellent condition.
This isn't about a dayum sway bar,. it's about all of it.

Getting an email saying "i'll GIVE you $700 for your forged 383 assembly" WTF, the friggin' pistons cost $650 !!!
You'll "give me" $700. Gee, why didn't i just jump right on that deal ????

Asking $65 shipped for a 145mph gauge cluster and getting low-balled. The some newbie ads that he MIGHT have one and MATBE will LET IT GO for $100 !!!!

It's a culmination of BS that has turned my stomach.

honestly you can't blame him for wanting to try and get some cash out of the deal but then again you can't blame anyone for wanting a good deal either. when you say best offer that is exactly what it means. if you are not satisfied with the offer keep it or put it on Ebay or trash it do what you want. honestly I don't think you would get $40 from Ebay either unless someone needed it at the time. but you can't get mad at the offers given. people are offering either what it is worth to them or what they can afford.

then i think if it bothers you so much find a different forum to pedal your products.yes,it can be a pain to sell parts like this but thats the risk you take by offering the stuff for sale boy.its called the price of doing buisness.if you dont like the buisness get out.go "throw "your stuff in the trash 20 feet away, but i dont know what school of buisness you went to but throwing something out when you can get money for it isnt the best practice, but then again it appears money is no object.
be gone

really junior kinda has a point the attitude says it all. I would rather give something away than trash it. If I am not going to use it someone else can. eventually the shoe may be on the other foot and experiences like this determine the outcome. but hey, it's you and it's your stuff.

Irok, I hear what you are saying, but maybe it is better to wait a minute, have a beer etc. before slamming down on the keyboard and getting angry at people.

Losing money on great parts is pretty common.

I just had to take a $300 loss on a brand new exhaust system for a G-body after trying to sell it at reasonable prices for 4 months...just how it goes. Some items sell for more than you paid, others you take a loss on, and you just hope to come out ahead in the end.

The guys above are right, if you need a minimum amount on a part, then ask for it, entertaining offers means people can offer whatever they want.

I totally agree JS and Bull I know what you mean.I've had to take a loss for need of money. And then I've bought from someone on here that said it was going to salvage if it wasn't sold.If someone can use the part and is willing to pay what it cost to pack and ship, and doesn't rush the seller, then why throw it away.I got caught in the middle of this with the free dashpad. He's in PA and I'm in SC and I pm'ed and emailed with no responce..But I understand and there's no hard feelings no reason for it.

Junior? I'm flattered Maybe so on this forum, but I've probably sold more things in the last couple years than you have in a lifetime.
Unless it's new in the box, you really need to go into these deals EXPECTING to lose money, and if you end up making some, hey great.
JS has the right idea though, take it all to a swap meet and give it away if your having trouble selling it.
Better yet, put a best offer sign on it, then take the first one you get! You'll make more in the long run.
Then again, you don't have ANY parts left to sell because you just threw em' away.
Better luck in the future 88IROK

id like to know where this dumpster is....

and in his defense he was/is a good seller. I got my panhard bar and control arms from him. They were in great shape, well packed, and arrived quickly. I think he just expects a bit much for some of his stuff. But I cant blame him for that.

He can't even respond to you now that he's been banned and can't post here. Send him an e-mail (if he has one in his profile) if you want to talk to him.

Yep, I guess the mods like to run a pretty tight ship here, and in some of his threads last night (some have been deleted) he was basically asking to be banned.

sometimes its good to just get away from the puter and take a break

sorry to see what happened here, and i didnt know 88,
but you just always gotta be respectful to fellow third genners, and have at least a decent attitude at all times with them, and remain as helpful as possible without trying to push something at them or anything else like that(for lack of better elaboration)

not in any way inferring that im some perfect angel or anything like that, theres even times that i get wierd in a post and really shoud;l stop and get away from the internet for a bit

too much of a good thing is bad sometimes, of course

im jut trying to be positive here

and no i didnt need to post in this thread, but i had to say something at least, couldnt help it

good luck and best wishes to all

keep your BP low and take a break sometimes

anthony714,
In the long run he may have done you a favor!
I purchsaed the March pulley set form him and the power steering bracket that was in the set is for a big block, also some of the other pieces are missing. I've emailed him 3 different times about this & guess who won't answer his email now???? Had I paid full price for it thru someone like Jegs or Summit I could have returned it for the correct pieces. now I will have to deal with March and try to buy the right pieces and correct the situation "at my expense of course".

Personally I will not pay top dollar for any item from an individual "even if the part is new or unused" just for the simple fact that a person has no recourse if problems arrise later. I"ve bought so many items thru internet dealings and one thing is for sure "Buyer Beware" even if it is new in the box it might just be a factory second that someone obtained for 1/2 price or dug out of a factory trash dumpster. I've gotten some good deals on some great parts and I've also ended up with junk that someone said was in excellent condition or the seller forgot to mention a few key flaws/details that should have been mentioned, but wouldnt because it would have killed the deal!

92zcamaroperson,

Looks like you were lucky & came out on the winning end !

Well enough for now.

Later, Bruce
