steering box

i was wondering if anyone has a steering box for my 1986 trans am. mine leaks....need new one asap. does not have to be new just in great shape with no leaks.

what does a faster ratio do? i will take anything my steering box is really shot

Yeah, Thats no problem. Faster Ratio equals quicker response whe n cornering with less turn of the wheel. The Iroc steering box i have is a fast ratio box. There more performance related...jt

ok jt what type of payment do u accept. the ones for irocs are the same as trans am sterring boxes right

Paypal is the quickest route but keep in mind Monday is a Holiday so it wont be shipped until Tuesday Morning via UPS. I will also accept a Money Order but prefer US Postal Money Orders. The same steering boxes went into both the camaros and TRans am and are interchangeable............jt

about how many turns is it lock to lock? it does not matter i was just wondering. i am also going to wait till thursday to send u th money is that alright ? i will probably do it through paypal.

GM doesn't charge much to replace the steering column shaft seal if thats whats leaking on yours, I think I paid like 85 with it on the car, you might want to just go that route

Thursday isnt a problem, its 2.5 turns lock to lock......jt

I'm not sure of the mileage, the car showed 77k but for all i know it could be 177k. It was in good shape though,other than being wrecked down the passenger side. I drove the car, engine was strong and steering was tight so 77k is possible.........jt
