86 - UP 305 Flexplate Needed
Hi Guys.
Long time. I was gone so long, I had to re-register again in June. (I still have my 1979 Big Block T/A but sold the 3rd Gen T/A, Iroc and GTA). I'm still looking for a 3rd Gen Ragtop though in the future.
Does anyone have a spare 305 (86-up 1Pc rear main seal) Flexplate lying around?
I'm building my L-69 for a project and I have to have a custom flexplate made. Trouble is: I no longer have the original flexplate for this 305 and I need one so I can have my new flexplate machined and Externally Balanced like the original Flexplate.
Anyone have one lying around?

Thanks Guys
Thanks Guys,
Does anyone have the numbers from on the flexplates. I thought I found one local but it was for a 4.3. (apparently the 4.3 does use the same flexplate as well but only if the it's the VIN "Z" motor). Since I'm having one custom made and balanced, I just want to be absolutely sure it's the correct flexplate.

GM doesn't make a one piece rear main plate that isn't weighted.. just a big and small externally balanced ones.. any of the above will work..

Thanks
Thanks pr0zac .
I thought that the 4.3's, 5.0's and 5.7 w/ the 1pc rear main used the same one but my GM book shows a different one for one of the some of the 4.3's.
It it's printed off to one side but shows VIN Z as using a different flexplate. (But it does'nt show why or what the difference is).
I checked out the 4.3 in my neighbors truck - VIN Z (1993 K-1500) and it's the standard 4.3 not the vortec. It may be the Vortec that had a change that year or something (at least according to this book).
Thanks for all of the help. I did find one local for $15 (I'm not a total Cheapo but I just needed an original to have my other one made otherwise, I would have just bought a new one.). I did'nt want to spend $45-60 plus shipping for a paperweight. Boy ,,, what an adventure.
