if its a 92 305 its a 1 piee rear main seal and passenger side dipstick...unless the motor was swapped at one point. i have a pre 1980 block with the drivers side dipstick and 2 piece RMS...if the pan you have is the same way ill take it if its dent free.

Monteman....I believe you are correct on the dipstick..if I am not mistken, the pass. side was 80+ and the drivers side was 55-79.

I too am looking for one and was looking at the one's from summit. They have a steel pan that will fit any sbc except 62-67 nova, etc.

I am thinking of getting that one for my 361 I am building for the 89RS....part number sum-g3500x.

Hope this helps you out some.

Mike

I am checkin around on the fitment.... where it goes over the crossmember. If it does, I am buying it! It just talks about the nova and chevelle as far as fitment problems...its only $21.00!!!! so it is worth it....you can also get one powdercoated orange for a few bucks more.

I have the exact pan with the exception that it has a larger sump. I had it on my 86 TA. I also have a high pressure oil pump with pick up attached specifically for the pan.

I have several d.s. dipstick, 2-piece rms pans kicking around in my garage. I know for a fact that they fit 1st and 2nd gen F-bodies. Not sure if they fit a thirdgen, but I'm betting they do. I've never heard of anyone having to get a custom pan when they put an old school small block in a thirdgen. The only pans that would probably have any clearance issues would be the ones from trucks I would think. Let me know if you're interested in one. Pat.
