85 Trans Am Tachometer

I need a tachometer out of a 1985 Trans Am 5.0L 4bbl carb. This type of tach came with the 85 MPH speedo dash.

Would it be the same as an '83 firebird? If so that's what I have. 305, manual trans. and 85 mph speedo. If you're interested make me an offer.

I'm not sure if it's the same in a '83 firebird. Can you please email pics of the front and back of the tach to JosephAndres@aol.com? Thanks.

It's not the same. 1982 to 1984 are the same and 1985 to 1990 are the same.

i thought the speedo tach and gauges were all inside one unit..or did you dig deeper and remove just the tach from the cluster.. i have the cluster from a 85 ta with 85 mph speedo whole thing 30 shipped.

I just took the tach out because I didn't feel like driving the car without any guages. I'll take the cluster if you got it. Got any pictures of it? PayPal work for you? Thanks.

Tiresmokin,
I think that tach won't fit cause I had one just like that and the mount was different. I think it might be out of an '85 T/A TPI or 5.0 H.O. car. Thanks though.

Drex,
Are you available on thursday early afternoon, sayyyy between 2 or 3? Hows Friday for you?? I work nights Mon-Thurs, 4-11pm. I'm off on Friday but I'll be at Island Raceway for time trials around 5pm. And Saturday I'll be at work from 8-4pm. So when can we meet up? I'd like to check it out.
