this is a work in progress . It all started with a blown headgasket that when removed ended up being a burnt piston too.

its going to be a stock SGI block bored .20 over JE pistons with a girdle,Massaged stock heads precision PT61 with S cover 3200 converter and a 3'' ATR downpipe.

New Member and project 87 turbo Iroc
Hello everyone. I'm a new member of thirdgen.org and a glad to be a part of this very interesting and informative forum site. I wanted to post a few pics of my 87 Iroc project. I started from the ground up, and have only made it as far as a complete undercarriage disassembly, paint and re-assembly. The plan is to put the LB9 305 back in (after completing the porting and polishing of the stock heads) and run a single or twin turbo. I'm planning on fabricating my own headers and other inlet/outlet turbo plumbing. Just wanted to show what i've done with the undercarriage so far.

my poweradder nowadays is a black n' grey hayabusa.....i havrnt started my car in months... theres no point
ok just an update on mine

right now im in the middle of building a new engine 3.3L 60* v6 with a 3400 splayed valve head conversion, with a sheetmetal manifold, and a t-61or t-70 turbo looking to make about 500+ hp out of this one
et goal of 10.8's-11.2 right now the fastest non tta/ non tta engine swap 3rd or 4thgen v6 has run a best of 11.87 (supercharger and juice) and that was a one shot deal.so im hopping to shatter that record come the 07 race season

Probably not a huge deal but if I were you I would move my blow off valve before the maf sensor. Cause when you let off and it lets the excess boosted air out the computer will still think the air that was let out went into the engine and this would cause it to go really rich every time you shift or lift. Just a thought.

what turbos, and manifolds did you guys use?
that is incorrect. It only applies to air which has been metered by the maf so "before maf ok" and "after maf not ok". Something to remember is that if both these cars are running FMU's its moot as the MAF and ECM aren't adding the extra fuel anyways, so the effect would be negligible

sorry guys, i know this thread is for people that already have power adders, but i figured you all would be able to help me best if you wouldnt mind. i have been looking everywhere for a turbo kit for/applicable to my LO3 with no luck. ive seen blowers for 5.0L throttle body GMs but i dont know if parts are interchangeable. so i was wondering if any of you could tell me where to find a turbo kit that will add about 75-100 horse for my engine. thanks a lot

You order the TPI kit (P600b or P1sc) since the accessory brackets are the same, request substitution of the TPI throttle body inlet elbow with the more expensive TBI cap from the truck kit, and the truck FMU fuel parts (fuel pump and FMU calibrations).

And although you may be using a FMU for the extra fuel, the PE + lv8 tables are still gonna go from pegged to not pegged. bang.

I kinda miss having a blower.

Re: Everyone post pics of your power adder.
Sorry Irocz2889, are you asking about the AC on my engine pics, not clear what you are referencing?? The AC is fully functional using all stock lines, etc.
