carburator or throttle body "cap" paxton and procharger sells them the one pictured is on TBI car. If you wish to do the same might I suggest this (made just for TBI units)

Feed it some of that green stuff that makes people get the munchies...

then hang a carrot in front of it.

There you go, power adder.

2500-6500rpms with the cam, 112lsa gives a slightly rough idle, I have no idea what mpg I'll get, peak HP will be around 570rwhp.

2500-6500rpms with the cam,
yeah but I could put a 3000-7000 rpm cam in my 305. doesnt mean the breathing ability of the heads/intake will match that however...

what i meant was, like TPI (or unlike..) is that manifold somhow "tuned" for a specific RPM range? you know, single planes good for high, dual planes good for street, tunnel rams good for really high, tpi good for torque...

whats that manifolds "sweet spot" .. they all have one.

I don't know. This LT4 intake is going on top of my LT4 heads which goes onto top of my LT1 that has the LT4 hot cam in it.
It should have max torque around 2500 and max HP around 6K+.

BLOWN 305 TBI--- How does that setup work for you? Could you tell a big difference and is there anything else you had to do to get it on the street or just bolt it all on? Thanks

Sorry to pollute the thread with the machinegun stuff...
Just thought you guys would get a kick out of it.

Hi B4CTOM1,

I have enjoyed reading your posts over the last year or so. Nice to be in your company now. ProCharger Club!!!

Actually Dorian at ProCharger volunteered to send me this piece to help prevent damage to the radiator hose in the event of a belt failure.

So as an experienced ProCharger user. The sound....lots of vibration. Bearing noise, very high piched whistle. Is this right???

Want to make sure everything is correct.

Sounds like music to me. Very sweet and powerful.

Still on jack stands so I have not got into boost yet.

oh yeah all the noise, they make a racket dont they? :-) but all blowers do even roots and screw ones do. its in the gears that the units have inside. you will note a chugging and chunking kinda noise at idle too as your ECM makes mixture changesadjustments at idle. it causes an imbalance of the firing impulses. that combined with the small amount of backlash between the drive and driven gears in the gear cases causes the chuggng or chunking sound. this is usually only noteable in steady state (no load) or idle. the whine is a separate and beautiful sound it is purely the mesh of the gears. Vortechs are real load and the roots are the king of whine. Vortech has tried to reduce this with a line of "quiet" blowers. they cut the gear with a more helical design and well, it still whines like a banshee. the king of quiet is the powerdyne. powerdynes use a belt in the "gearcase?" instead of gears (exept the newest model) and they offer truely quiet boost. unfortunately the quiet is at the cost of power and boost (belts cant step up ratio in the same area of space in the gearcase as gears can. congratulations on your purchase.

the TBI airbox you mean? yeah he said it was your now and that you would be eventually posting. there is alot of interest in your car. a thread about some track testing or dyno tuning would be nice and also would give you a forum to make sure others knew the car is yours now for any questions. about 3 times a week people with TBI get on like they are the first to ever ask and I just drop the link to the thread your brother had started ( https://www.thirdgen.org/techbb2/sho...&highlight=TBI ) and they can see for themselves you should put a post of new ownership there too.

Where do you guys find anything on turbocharging 3rd gens? In the near future I am buying a 3rd gen camaro, I am planning on going all out with this car, but keeping it streetable. I want to turbocharge it, but I can't find anything on parts or any info on this? Can some of you guys who have turboed, FI, 3rdgens help me out here? I would like to run a 383 or 396 mini ram along with either a single or twin turbo, intercooled. Thanks for any advice, links, or info.

my turbo engine isnt done yet but this is what im up to. 267 chevy resized rods, crank 10/10, reconditioned pistons and new rings, ported heads, 80s vete roller cam 115 lobe sep forget dur somewhere around 206, edelbrock performer intake gasket matched, 600cfm carb, 2 rebuilt t3 .42/.48 turbos, 1 5/8" equal length headers made my me, 2/3 of a powerstroke intercooler with new tanks, 2 stage boost setting will have a momentary type swich on steering wheel for the extra boost. the hp will be around 360 with low boost and 400 when i step up the bost using the second staage of boost.

Im building this engine instead of one of the 3 350 blocks i have simply because i want to have a low power first engine so i dont kill myself learning how to race/drive. Eventualy i will build a forged internal 350 4 bolt splayed using my 010 block. I think I will be using vette heads that i will port and flow on my diy flowbench that is almost done all i need is the vaccume motors and make the orfice disk. With the 350 i hopefuly will have some sort of efi. I plan on using the 2 rebuilt t3 turbos from my 267 and just get my ther 2 t3 turbos rebuilt and bolt them on too after making new headrers. oo yea quad turbos, the way to go! It will be pumping out around 750 hp on pump gas. Both motors will be in my 87 s10 with a 2" chop top and weighs around 2900 with driver. Im a 1st and 3rd gen camaro lover but this truck fit my budget better, free, also it will be alot better sleeper than a camaro.

ill post pics of the 267 in my s10 by june hopefuly completed. Im also going to make the quad setup while im making the twin headers so there is less down time for the 267-350 swap, so ill take pics of te quadd mock up for a tease

93Z you going with the production 3.8 or a 4.1L? Or a Stage motor? Very nice work on those headers.

What size turbos do you plan on going with?

I guess there's no need for a tourqe strap with mounts like that!!!!

Well right now I am using an SG1 block (3.8) that will have a girdle and steel mains.

I plan on using two stock GN turbos until everything is tuned and running decent, then I will upgrade to two TA-49's.

Later in years I will have a stage 2 motor with two T-76's

The motor mounts are strong

Guido did the headers.

I'll say it again"Damn that boy does good work"! How quick you looking to go? Two TE-44's should get you low 10's. What heads are you gonna use?(champions, hogged out Irons, etc.) Did Guido do the mounts also? I assume your going with DFI also? Should be one hell of a set up. This beast gonna be track only?

Two 76's(HELLO! 8's)

No, I did the mounts I also did my spoiler. I also cut my own intercooler end tanks.

Using the two Stockers.....and the hogged out Iron heads I am looking for mid to low 10's.

When I put on the two 49's I will hopefully have a set of ported aluminum Champions.

Yes I am using DFI gen 7 or FAST system

Mostly track car, it will see some street time, I do mean it too. I will drive it too work or drive it too car shows or what not. I might even drive it to the track.

When the two 76's go on the car will be back halved and everything...It should go 7's

It will be once i can get back to work making more money than this crappy disability pays me. I like the t/a performance aluminum blocks. They haven't been proven in the real world yet, but with it's construction it should last. They claim 1500hp. The stock LC2 blocks won't last much past 700hp.

In the back of my mind my idea is to have the following.

1. New block(stage or T/A) 4.00 in bore
2. Billet crank 3.400 in stroke
3. T-88 turbo
4. 4l80E with 3300 stall
5. 12 bolt rear with 3.08's

Well that's the wish list who knows how long it'll take to get there. I was having financial problems(thought i may have to go out on permenent disability). But it looks like I'll get to keep her after all. T-tops are a bit of a p.i.t.a. but a hardtop would warrant a much steeper price and it's like trying to find a needle in a stack of needles.

Godd luck with the project. Keep the updates coming......

Pete
