new competition for TPIS and ACCEL?

the accel super ram has the big plenum and some decent runner length at a small sacrifice to flow, the miniram has awsome flow and ok plenum but is missing just a little something down low. what do you think of a setup like this with a blower? the overall height is supposed to only be 1/4-1/2" taller at the front.

its heaven IMO

look at ANY big blower/turbo car especially in the NMRA....what kinda intakes do they use?

ya, thats right.......converted TALL tunnelrams with sheetmetal boxes on top

This works better for us because the tunnel ram is shorter and will fit under the hood

i know someone who plans to have on a boosted motor this year and i'm sure he'll let us all know how it works

That is my plan, P1sc spun to max through the stage II intercooler on my 412 and about 14-16psi. My holley tech rep said a LT1 throttle body must be used (and a lokar cable setup) but I am going to take a look into it myself (when I lay my hands on it) he said there is only about a 1/4" diff in height from the TPI unit. I figure it might be a little more than that. If it turns out I must use a LT1 TB then I will just do it.

Why do you need a LT1 TB and lokar throttle?

Doug never said any of that.....he did use a 58mm holley TB but used the stock cables

I also dont see why you'd need one, I bought one for my LT1 swap but dont know where the little end for it is, so for now i have a stock 92' throttle cable in the stock LT1 bracket and it works fine.

LT1 throttle bodys are offered also in 58mm is that what you mean? every thing I know about this stealth ram is based on what I could surmise from the picture and from my e-mail conversations with my rep: 1) I asked my rep in an email a few of the following: some questions about part #’s and that I could see they used a LT1 throttle body, should it be ok to use a TPI throttle body? 2) To which he responded: For clearance issues the LTI Throttle body is required. The basic
TPI Throttle body will hit. The intake. 3) I told him: I see that they are advertising it as a competitor on the Holley web site to the TPIS miniram and Accel super ram, but wiring adapters and control cable control issues would need to be addressed for the compatibility or bolt on for TPI cars having to use a LT1 throttle body, but I don’t think I will let that stop me. 4) To which he responded: We use the GM connectors on our sensors so that would not be an issue. The recommended lokar throttle linkage bracket eliminates the cable mounting issues. The only GM TPI application that would cause an issue is the factory units that use a cold start injector. 5) Then I responded: The TPS is the LT1 93 up style (3 pin round) and the TPI 92 down (3 pin flat) cars cannot use it. The IAC is a 4 pin flat on that LT1 throttle body and all the TPI cars use a 4-pin square. You could pull any TPI and a LT1 from the shelf and see the parts that I mean. A couple of short pigtail adapters could be sold to make this work with TPI cars (I would make my own, but I've made whole ECM harnesses before) so doing this could help the average guy could do it. I just thought this might help to smooth out some application complaints from future customers. It also needs to be put in there that it is a NON-SMOG application only as there is no EGR provision.

93 LT1 uses a 4 pin square IAC.

It is designed for a TPI throttle body and stock TPI throttle bracketry.

An LT1 throttle body will bolt up.

What is the name of the rep that you talked to? I will call him and correct his information.
