I have found a set of headers that I think just might fit what do you think? I have attached a couple of pictures and some measurements sent to me by the guy selling them.

It is 5" from the 1dt head bolt to the edge of the flange. 3.5" extended from the exhaust flange to the farthest poit of tubing (away from valve cover).

I did a quick measure of front engine clearance and I got 12" from the first head bolt to the electric fans, and 13 3/4" to the rad.

I dont think that they would work. Plus routing the exhaust away woudl be a nightmare. Cool find though

Thanx for the reply Guido.
What makes you think it will not work?
Have to try to find something that is better than the gale banks logs or the price of custom ones from a header shop.
The quest continues

Well, it looks to me like the passenger side will hit the steering box.

And where the turbos are positioned, its going to put the exhaust right into the frame.

I think that that picture is a bit disceptive, since really you're mounting the turbo's dead even with the heads.

I think you'll have plety of room for the steering box, but you'll have to get creative with the exhaust. If you run a banjo style exhaust housing it would fit easily (no idea where to get them, I know that Bently and another british luxury car used them, but it's not like you're going to find them in the junkyard), otherwise you might be able to get something to work buy fabricating something with a tight loop to run the exhaust back under the header.

I think that we'd need more pics to be sure.

No matter what you'll have problems with accesories, there is no mounting them low on a 3rd gen because of the steering linkage. If it's a drag car you could probably rig something for the alternator (either high up above the water pump or use a pulley style one on the WP pulley), but you'd have to convert to manual steering...

Hum, I wonder if you can cut the turbo flanges off and weld them back on at an angle so that the exhust outlet faces back a little (maybe 30-45*), that might solve your accesory and exhust problem, maybe even a little angled spacer...
