experienced supercharger thirdgen step inside...

I would love to go centrifugal instead of roots, but dont have knowledge in that area. I did a ton of searches, but only came up with pics and various info not related to what im looking for.

I have the ability to weld but not bend pipe, I have the ability to mount / create spaces to mount intercoolers etc.. but not the ability to route the tubes at angles. I can also cut out / modify heavilly my car's chassis any way I need to to make somthing fit right.

Im looking for a decent centrifugal setup with these factors in mind to keep cost down. I would like information on: general gas mileage, induction type (tpi / tbi / multi point / holley / etc..) how it was done, work involved, and MOST importantly, cost / fabrication required. I know I want an intercooled cenntrifugal for about 600-800 horsepower, and have the engine components to handle it, I just need the rest of it (Intake / computer / supercharger)

maybe if you sit down for a second and explain how you would go about this, well I would be in your debt completelly.

and if you could tell me what HP numbers and GAS mileage numbers your hitting with how many intercoolers and type of supercharger and induction that would help loads too....

and Ill keep searching the boards for more. there is no rush to do this thing. Cost is an issue however, right now Ive got about $2000 but can easilly save up to 3-4K if necessary to hit those numbers. gas mileage I would like at least 18MPG (i get that now on the highway with a carb) but more would be nice for cruising. I hate wasting gas.

Yep. Ebay. took 1 day. Polished it up and sent it out. I need a bigger blower! that one was only putting out 4 PSI with the 10 PSI pulley! It's most likelly my cam robbing a ton of boost, 112 LCA and 313* of duration on the exhaust side. I'm goina prolly do a cam swap, bigger blower, new radiator all at once real soon if I decide to avoid fuel injection for a while.
but anyways, you were saying...

why dont you build a turbo system (joking) I guess it is time for a centrifugal then. consider the stealth ram system (complete w/ECM) then the blower. https://www.thirdgen.org/techbb2/sho...hreadid=114308

That looks like a very interesting setup. But my question is, How Do i control it? obviouselly its going to require some sort of computer for the timing / fuel but it does not come with such a thing. I like it alot, And will buy it if I can figure out how to make it work on my car. Where do I get the ECM for it? how much is that thing? How about the fuel pump? and of course, this is obviouselly compatible with a centrifugal supercharger.... Right?? is there a "kit" ( I use that word looselly..) for this thing?

Info! need info!

this is a kit with pump, harness, computer, and intake. but it is offered as just an intake without the kit.

And.. I cant find the part number OR the company that wants to sell the complete kit. Not to mention the price of the complete kit is missing as well. Does holley actually want to sell these things? I cant find it on their web page either!

Hope that helps.

I was just about to post that I found the kit and it was the same price as holleys MPFI 950 setup with the regular style intake, they just threw injectors in it so you didnt need a carb. oh boy, $$$$ i was hoping the stealth would be cheaper, and it is, but when you actor in injectors, sensors, ecm, throttle body etc.. it comes out to be the same. I wonder what kind of fuel economy it would generate VS holleys other MPFI setup. ...

you dont want to get the one with the regular style intake because, where the injectors go instead of casting extra material in to machine and place the injectors they cast it with an indentation that protrudes into the runner and restricts flow (some say they are working on a future fix others say they wont) it is a problem enough that one major engine builder (bill mitchel? or someone like that) that builds big crate motors using it is going to cast thier own if the problem is not fixed because it is driving his customers and him nuts.
