tight places for turbos

i was wondering where the tight places are for turbocharging the 3rd gen?

i was looking at a vintage air serpentine system that locates all of the accesories infront of the engine. with that being said where are the tight places for turbos?

are there any places that are better suited for turbo placement?

other than the steering box are there any other places that should be avoided?

also will mild steel, ie non stainless headers, hold up to the exhaust temps of a turbo?

thanks
