finally got one

After thinking long and hard about swapping GN drivetrain into an IROC-Z, I decided to buy a real TTA. I now have TTA#656.From what I can see it has a plenum spacer, afpr, higher stall converter, shift kit, flowmaster cat back, exhaust cutout, adj. wastegate mod,te-44 turbo, seems the fuel pump is upgraded,K&N air filter, chrome maf and up pipes, oil filled fuel pressure gauge(rail mounted)Boost and Knock sensors on A pillar.

Waiting for the postman to bring me my global west SFC's,Scanmaster 2,Maf translator+,Thrasher 92 and 100 chips, tubular rear control arms and panhard bar.

Gotta go pull a 3" LT1 maf from the yard.

Boost is currently maxing out at 12psi(have to shorten rod)

Seems the converter is a non lockup or the OD is fried.
Hazes the tires on 1-2 shift, and drinks gas like a *****.

All you TTA guys out there I may be pestering you on advice soon gotta turn up the hair dryer and see what happens.........

Bonus. I'm doing the TT project right now. I'm learning as I go. Got the turbos on today. Need to do exhaust, fuel system etc, etc. Can't wait to get it done.

ok, #1 PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE get that blowmaster off, you'll be much happier lol

I wouldn't assume the wastegate rod is wrong, check for any vacumn leaks, also check for exhaust leaks at the crossover pipe and check the headers for cracks.

You'll see a nice difference with the T+ and MAF sensor

A scanmaster IS A HUGE MUST

What size injectors do you have? What chip is in there? Also if since you're spending all this money spend another $120 or so on that extender chip, allows you to tune much more, i'm going for that pretty soon

Right now the car has a RA 93 chip and it absolutely hates it. I turned the wastegate rod the other way and am now seeing around 10lbs. Then it feels like the intercooler hoses blows off but it's not. With it turned the other way it would break up and sputter while spooling to a big 4 psi.

I wish the postman would bring me my stuff so i can see what's going on it there. To me it looks like the stock injectors no colors(i.e. blue tops, green stripe, etc.) just a whitish grey plastic covering them. The fuel pump is hot wired. I checked the wastegate hoses no cracks nothing missing.I cant even get the tires to brake loose while power braking(builds 2 lbs. and the brakes just hold it). I ordered thrasher 92/100 chips and i'll see what i can do with the trans+ to tweak it.Gotta replace the hood, it looks really rediculous(wont even drive it with that hood on)(pictures can be seen on the turbo buick for sale section under TTA 656.)

Wastegate may be bad it dumps the boost at 10-12 lbs.Should be getting another hood this weekend and my parts should be here by then. At least I wont feel embarrased to drive it.

I may keep the flowmaster on there just take it off,cut it open and get rid of the baffles...
