Gudio, A couple of questions
Could you PM me or give a list of your previous mods. I mean how the bottom end of your block was done. Also, with you little m block, did you have any clearance problems with the 6" h-beam rods?
What size are your pistons?
Hope I didn't ask any repeative questions, I used the search, but when you search for Guidos setup, it's usually pretty basic.
Just trying to get some ideas.

I went to your page, clicked on Mods. But the majority of it is based on your turbo setup. I'm curious more about your old setup.
I saw that it showed the time and 400 vortec, but nothing more.
On your little M, you had a machine shop build it or just clearance it?

Internals then are the same as they are now. I just went from a factory 400 block to this new one.
.030 over 400
JE pistons lowered ringlands
6" Eagle h-beam rods
eagle 4340 crank
9.2:1 compression
had to clearance both blocks for rod clearance. I have never let a shopa ssemble my motors. Dont trust them to do as good a job as we would.

Guido, did the 400 block give you problems or did you do this is a preventative measure? I'm starting a TT 85 TA project, and I don't want to have to do this twice. What do you believe the limits of the stock 400 block to be in a turbo application? I have made near 600hp with one in an NA application with no problems, but I want a lot more than that out of this car. I'm thinking I'll probably need a Little M, or maybe a Bowtie (can probably get a good deal on a used one).

Preventative maint. Tory Hess on this board broke a 400 block a while back making less power than I plan to with this motor.
Seemed like a good idea.
