Blower Carb

We used a Top Gun nitrous kit. We have tried just about every kit on the market and found this works best. Its called a stage 5. Its adjustable from 100 to 300 shot. You are going to find this hard to believe, but all we used was a stock ZZ4 crate engine with AFR heads, 3.73 gears, 350 trans, with a 3000 Hughes converter. We got the car to run consistant 10.60's at the track in a 3600 pound car. This was using 200 shot on top of the blower. But the secret was TUNING. In the pic we were trying out the NOS solonoids, but changed them later.

You put a 200 shot and a blower on a stock zz4 engine. how the hell did the stock silicone pistons and rods standup to this?? how much power are you squeezing out of this combo?? and how often do you run this setup?? sorry if i sound confrontational i just am wondering how a zz4 could take this kinda of power without breaking somthing.

We have all been through this discussion before. Hyper pistons can take their fair share of abuse. As long as you run the correct timing, Fuel Pressure(S)(one for engine, and one for NOS). We use a timing controller, in which you can control timing at the turn of a **** from inside the vehicle. Also the motor rarely sees over 6,000 RPM, which we all know kills engines. NGK 4554 plugs work awsome, and of course, good fuel.

Forgot to mention, the ZZ4 comes with a steel crank and "PM" rods. The engine only dynoed 520 on a chasis dyno, but its getting all the power to the ground, thanks to Cal-Trac bars.

Ya i knew the crank and rods in the engine could stand up to the punishment but didnt know that the pistons could take it. well sounds like a good setup for those times...also whats your trapp speed? thanks

whats this got to do with a blower carb? you have a blower on it? how much boost? what kind of blower? it doesnt sound like it since you didnt mention the word "BTM" but still.. im curious now. but with a blower and N20 you should be over 520 horse... so im guessing no blower. im right at 520 FWHP~ without N20 and a small 177 weiand blower. funny thing is, it only dynos at 500~FWHP with a carb, but when the engine was assembled, we put the holley DFI on it, and apparently gained 20 horse.
