D-1SC 8 RIb belt walks off crank pulley???
Has anyone had an 8 rib belt walk off of the crank pulley? Mine is off anout one rib right now towards the eingine. It happened when I loosened it a little. Was fine before I did this running it for 2 days!
Just wanted to see if this was a common problem with too little tension.
Got to watch it once I reinstall it. Damn!!!
Thanks.

Reinstalled new NAPA belt. So far so good. I found soe black dust on the blower plate so I think the other belt walked off from being too lose.
Run fine now.

Thanks B4Ctom1,
Since I am not running boost till I get the FMU installed I am not sure if it will be slipping yet. But just running around now is perfect.
Looks like this whole SC set up is one big learning experience.
But the car runs much better even without being in boost now.

I told my ex business partner (from our speedshop and dyno tuning business) of the recommendation to not run an FMU he just laughed and said yeah right go for it (sarchastically)

Yea. I have decided that since it my engine on the line, I'd rather be safe than sorry.
Also, since I added the Racetronix high flow/pressure intank pump and wiring kit good for almost 600 hp I don't need the supplied ATI inline pump.
See this link for the inline pump discussion. Good information: http://web.camaross.com/forums/showt...=racetronix+hp
See this link for Racetronix web site: http://www.racetronix.com/product/RX..._Pump_Kit.html
Very high quality set up. Easy install. Like stock install. All high quality plugs for new wiring harness.
So I can take advantage of the exchange for the FMU and not have any additional out of pocket cost. And this is a good thing considering what I have spent in the last year on the car!!!!
