Really dumb downpipe question

Now, exactly how do I hook up a downpipe to this thing.....there are no bolt holes! Exhaust clamps? Weld a flange?

looks like you need to use a V band clamp

Yea, sleepybu is correct.. You need a pipe that has the same size ridge around it that is on the turbo.. Then you'll have to get a big V shaped clamp that will cover both ridges and hold them together when the clamp is tight...

Well, the clamp itself isn't V shaped, it's actually round, but the inside of the clamp has a V shaped groove..

Cheers,

Is there a gasket or anything in betweem?...how does that seal? I guess not like it really matters all that much post turbo for performance.

No gasket.. If both surfaces are true, then they won't leak.. The clamp itself may provide a bit of a seal when installed.

If you go to your local truck parts store, they will be able to get you the ring that you need to weld on to the down pipe, the part that meet the exhaust housing ( its like a flare with flat lip to match the same size as the exhaust housing lip) Once you do that just pickup a V band clamp that is the same diameter put them together tighten.

Good luck
