Blowing a lot of oil (D-1SC)

I got the ATI D-1SC and i can completely wipe my charger down and go beat on the car a little bit and there will be oil all over the top of the procharger. Is this normal?

Is it engine oil or procharger oil.

I am getting oil blown through the PCV fitting, but it just leaves some one the valve cover.

I do also feel oil on the procharger as well. I checked the level and it was almost 2 oz. low. Better check your level.

I retightened the drain plug, the fill plug too. I still get an oily residue. It is almost as if it is seeping out of the metal itself?????

I asked Procharger by email if there was anyplace else oil can escape and did not get an answer.

Let me know what you find.

Doesnt look like procharger oil. However, its directly on top of the procharger. I am also getting oil near my pcv on my valve cover. I know my system blows oil through the plumbing because the boots inside have a bit of oil on the inside. It just doesnt look like procharger oil to me. I may be wrong but either way I dont like it. Let me know what ATI says about the leak. Also do you have the D-1SC?

Did you check to see if the little plastic o-ring gasket was on the supercharger dipstick?

I am not sure if this is what you are talking about but it worked for me. I installed a Vortech SC supercharger on my 383. The first run was grate but messy. Oil was coming out of the dip stick, filler cap and PCV valve. The only thing I thought was that the blower was pressurizing the block and forcing oil out. Most of the oil was coming out the dip stick so like an idiot I just hooked up a hose and catch can. I could fill a liter can in one ¼ mile run and then it would over flow. The fix may not be so good but it works and no more oil everywhere. Hooking up a hose from the inlet side of the blower and into the drivers side PCV worked like a charm. This scared me because some oil inters the blower but with a longer hose it is a very small amount. Hope this helps.

383, SC Vortech 12lb Boost, Vortec heads with bigger EX valves, Scoggin Dickey Intake, 3” exhaust, Edilbrock Headers, Eagle Rods and Crank, Custom Pistons, Comp cam, Roller rockers, etc, etc.

no this is blowing it out of the blower itself, it's the procharger oil, anyhow i took mine for a short drive today, looked at it and the fluid is bubbling out of the fill screw, and yes that plastic washer is there...
