Tapping into the TPI fuel rail???
Has anyone successfully done this? I need to tap in a 3/8" line either directly into the fuel rail somewhere or in the 3/8" line leading to it in the engine compartment. Where would be the optimal location? Should the tee be on the hard line or rubber? I cannot use the test port as there exists a restriction just below the Schrader valve. This additional line will be used to fuel three 72# injectors on my Superfueler and the test port will not flow sufficient fuel.
A good place to drill and tap is the driver side fuel rail, in the front. It's a good spot. I have the correct drill bit at home to if you need the right size.
This is also the same spot that ASSC used for YEARS and i think sometimes still currently do when they used their double pumpt system.
They'd use a bosch pump in the tank running through the stock system and lines and then use a bulkhead and run an extra line out of the tank to another bosch pump (in-line) with pre and post filters and ran that feed line up to the spot i just said. Worked in tons and tons of street mustang/camaros going 10s or better. In one case even it supported enough fuel to go mid 9s (9.60s) with a 383, TPI intake, stock runners, ported base, SLP headers, i *think* trickflow heads, s-trim pullied for 15psi and 2 stages of the juice. Never ran outta fuel

How about an early style fuel rail with the cold start injector. Remove the C/S injector and there is a big hole there. Not sure what the thread pitch is on the rail, but I am sure there is an adapter out there somewhere to make it work. I have one collecting dust if you need it.

I REALLY need to stop talking to Larry. LMAOWillie, if you want to see a pic of the way ASSC does it let me know. I'll see if I can find one.

I'm going out of town for the weekend; I'll see if I can put my hands on one before I leave. If not I'll do it Sunday night when I get back.

Willie,
Pics I promised you. I couldn't attach them in PM and don't have anywhere to host them so I am putting them here.

Sorry Willie....
I've looked all over h3ll and back and can't find any close-up pics of my old setup. I'll keep looking since we still have boxes to unpack from our move last fall. If I find them, I'll let you know.
