Was in the garage until 11:30 last night finishing this mess up.
If the rain holds off tomorrow, we will be testing @ Tri State in Ohio.

At this point it might be easier to just weld the pipes together!
Good luck with your next run.
I must say I had my first experience with blowing off IC piping last night. The MBC in the Talon isn't adjusted properly so I was running 20+ PSI When that coupling let go, I thought the engine had exploded.. not a nice noise.

If that doesn't work, I don't think anything will. Good luck. Can you get more video of the next outing. I want to see that car run so bad, I am almost willing to make the trek to Ohio.

Ahh yes, I notice that trick from maximum boost I am reading now. As it turns out I was just reading the intercooling section last night and I remember that one fresh. Looks good and it's gotta be a solid way to hold the piping in place at the joints.
That book is so full of awesome information I could hardly believe it when I started reading. It's just hard for me to keep from getting overwhelmed at this point with all the information. Makes those of us who are anticipating a TT project realize just how much time, effort, money and research are involved in making something like this come together.

We got video of the last time I was at the track of the car idling in the pits, pulling away from the trailer and making a blast to about the 300 foot mark and then coasting the rest of the way. LOL

If you want a more true to life take on turbocharging I'd suggest McInnes (written by an actual turbocharger engineer that holds a bunch of patents...)

Damn Guido, I'm dissapointed...
Pull all those off and grind nice rounded edges so they don't look so... so... geeze, I don't even know the word for it.
Oh, and put them on a drill press and relieve them of some of that weight...
BTW... Nice
I probably spent an hour last thursday night grinding 2 grooves around every pressure side fitting on my brother's car for the same reason. also ended up cutting grooves in the blower pulley to make it grab the belt better. Of course, after that I spent at least as much time either polishing or painting everything that I touched...

Since we are also talking about books can anyone recommend some good ones for turbo and/ or super aplications. I am going to be starting my new motor build up at the end of summer and want to do a little research first. By the way, I am going to have to come and watch you run sometime Guido, maybe I will have my together and you can give me some pointers as I am still fairly new the the drag racing scene. Thanks,

Ive got the macguiness book at home (that was mentioned above) and it was a little help. there is another book out there by corky bell i think its called maximum boost. Ive never seen it before but I think amazon has it. I learned most of what I know by checking out other cars on the web and at the races.
Ill be at Edgewater tonight Tyler and Tri State tomorrow (i hope). If you arent to busy with the "cafe" you should come out.
