CAM Recommendations
I am looking to change the cam on a 1988 Chevy IROCZ 305 TPI with the following major modifications:
Paxton Supercharger (5lbs boost)
NOS 100 Dry Shot
52mm Throttle Body
Headers with full exhaust
And all the aftermarket bolt ons
What cam would you recommend and how difficult is it to change. All feedback is greatly appreciated....

Centrifugal superchargers are extremely efficient on the top end. Because of this, you can select a cam based on low to mid-range torque, very similar to a NA setup. A cam that emphasizes exhaust is important (dual pattern). The one difference between the two setups is lobe separation angle (LSA). Limiting valve overlap by selecting a wide LSA is important on a blown engine.
I pulled my custom-made Crane hydraulic roller last month and it's for sale. I ran my best time with it (in sig above). It's perfect for a stock or nearly stock head. It has only 12,000 miles on it and shows absolutely zero wear. If you're interested, please e-mail me and I'll give you all the specs, including a price that will be very hard to beat.

whats the spec willie? is it hyd roller? for a factory roller block or a aftermarket retrofit roller for older blocks? I may be interested.

A cam replacement is very labor intensive. Everything must be removed on top of the engine as well as in front.

Solid billet with a pressed on distributor gear
Dur @ 50: 214 / 230
Lift (1.6): 482 / 525
LSA: 112
My objectives:
Emphasize the exhaust
Tighten the LSA as much as possible while maintaining zero overlap (very important). This cam is two degrees from an overlap condition at 50.
The intake specs are tame compared to the exhaust, which makes this cam excellent for stock or near stock heads. It also produces very good vacuum at idle (13 inches at 3100 feet). Although it is not an emissions legal cam (no custom grind is), it passes emissions with ease.

It is a hydraulic roller cam for factory roller blocks (1987 & newer) with only 12,000 miles on it. It shows zero wear. If interested, please e-mail me and I'll give you the price.
