Anyone wanna buy a good size turbo?

here are more pics:
http://home.earthlink.net/~tt3rdgen/thumper

here is a description:

This is an industrial sized T76. The turbo is *similar* to PTE's 88mm turbo except the compressor housing and the exhaust housing is slightly larger. This is the type of frame that the Drag Radial turbo racers are basing their turbos off of.

As the turbo sits i'd estimate its good for about 1100hp or so, maybe 1150. But i feel 1100hp is a safe estimate. The shaft on this turbo IS UPGRADABLE to a 88mm wheel. So in the future you can have the backingplate and the compressor housing bored out and the 88mm put on and really have one hell of a turbo. I estimate that with the 88mm wheel on this turbo you are looking at close to 1300-1350hp.

Currently the turbo had the compressor wheel lightened and the turbine wheel clipped and reshaped (slightly). this all was done to help aid in spool. The turbo was previously on a 302 ford motor with 7.8:1 compression, blowthru carb, air/water cooler. On 5psi it went 128mph in the 1/4 with a converter that was slipping 30% on the big end. it was a crappy 2800stall. Also the turbo spooled 3psi on the FOOTBRAKE at the line with the same crappy converter so despite its size it actually spools quite well. The a/r on the exhaust side is a .96

email or post if interested....looking for a quick sale

the compressor cover should just unbolt right off....not a big deal to take it off.

Whip out the dial indicators and go to work, if its a garrett wheel i can look it up by the measurements.

From the little experience that i have helped people with diesal turbos is that they are physically large but the compressor wheels are rather small.

Do some measuring and find out

This is a borg warner / IHI and it isnt physcally huge even though its from a 6.5 diesel. it looks larger than a T4 but thats about it.
