Boost Referencing Fuel Pump
OK I am looking into cutting as much cost off a junkyard turbo install as possible. But one of the really big problems that costs money is the fuel delivery.
In the past I have always been told that you have to buy a high volume Electric Fuel pump and a Boost senstive Fuel pressure regulator (Both of which aren't cheap). But I happened to stumble across a members website www.ttZ28.com (sub heading fuel suplly) which I found very informative.
But now my question Is there a limit on the amount of boost you can run will boost referencing your stock mechanical fuel pump? And how exactly do you hook it up (is it as easy as just running a hose from the bonnet to the atmospheric vent on the pump?)
Thanks, Garrett
Also does anyone know where an adjustable exterenal wastegate can be found cheap, or an alternative to running one.

an alternative to running the external wastegate is to find a turbo with an internal one. you can setup a controlled bleed on the manifold pressure line that feeds it and adjust boost in that manner. T3s from Turbo regals and maybe the Tbird T3s have the internal wastegates.

Thanks for the input, But it is easier for me to use a Junkyard Diesel turbo than to find a functial internal wastegate T3. If there were more junkyards around here with T-type regals or Turbocoupes I would love to use T3's but I can't find any and ebay's are all to expensive or junk.
But anyways back to the Boost referencing Fuel Pump. Will it work?
Thanks, Garrett

The set-up I am talking about is a carb set-up. But from what I have read you just have run a hose from the bonnet to the fuel pump atmospheric vent so that with each pound of boost you get one more pond of fuel pressure.
I just wanted to know if it's just that easy.
Thanks, Garrett
