10.90 @ 129
10.90 @ 129
Well its been down a couple of years but she is back on the road.
I was having some bad bog problems and the best 60 ft I could muster is a 1.8 but still pulled off a 10.9 @ 129 mph.
I Imagine soon as I get the Bog gone it should trap 130 + and beat the old best of 10.6
350, p600b,
My 87 also bested today a 11.31 @ 122 naturally asperated .
Both cars driven 1 hr to track and back and both are raced on pump gas.

Well I had the 87 at the track again today and bested again a new 11.27 @ 122.4 1.55 60ft.
Through muffler, on DOT tires and pump gas.

I think uncapped it will get close but I also don,t think I will get to track anymore this year. I only get every other weekend off and
the next I'm going to New Orleans to visit a friend.
Can you post all the information / pics on your blown car that you have? How is the blow through setup to tune? Any problems with it?
VICTOR INTAKE, 750 DOUBLE PUMP, P600B (SMALL BLOWER)
SOLID FLAT TAPPET 239/249 517/543 @ 106 LSA.
If you did not notice that is a naturally asperated cam and I'm only seeing 6/7lbs of boost with it.
Not hard at all to tune other than this bog I got right now, Next day off I may bolt the slicks back on, find a back road and comence to some launch flogging to try and rid the problem.
Hmmm Pictures, Ill go take one right now.
Sorry they did not turn out soo clear,
I really wanted to post the pic of my cold air induction I am very proud of
Also the time in my camaro were with SLP shortie headers and 2.5" y pipe with a cutout on it.

Some help in tuning out that bog.......
I've been in situations like yours once or twice, but never with that exact combo. If you get stumped with usual tuning changes let me suggest some stuff you might want to keep in the back of your brain.....
1. Take off the blower temporarily while trying to get it tuned reasonably close. You can leave it with the belt on but remove the intake plumbing and run it temporarily with the carb and no aircleaner at all. Does it still bog? If so, you're looking at typical carburetor rebuild/accelerator pump tuning kinda stuff usually. If not you're on the way to a different area....
2. Put the doghouse back on top of the carb but still don't run boost through it- still just N/A. Does the bog return? If so, the carb just doesn't want to "play nice" with the tight confines of the doghouse. If stuff gets too close to a carb's inlet (particularly directly above it) it causes the air to flow through the carb in bad ways. Nasty bogs can result that simply can't be tuned out of the thing. Getting the housing up higher above the carb is the easiest and cheapest way to fix this situation if it happens to be the cause of your bog.
3. FINALLY hook the blower back up and do your final tuning. Hopefully by this point you're reasonably close on the carb tuning and you're down to the short strokes.
Weird carb behavior from having tight quarters around the carb is something I've run into fairly often and it can drive you nuts. Carbs like nice, smooth, even airflow through them. If things start getting rough it just won't meter fuel correctly. Holley carbs with un-milled choke towers are particularly susceptible to this.
Not saying this is your problem, but something to keep in mind if the usual stuff isn't getting it done.

Thanks for help,
I just got done with some back road launching experiments.
Earlier I had increased the rear pump nozzle to 35 and leaving front at 31.
I decided to put the 35 in front and change rear to 32, It seems to have helped a whole lot.
Actually I think I need to go a little larger in the rear still, I wanted to stay away from the BIG nozzle in the front to not waste so much fuel while driving - but it seems I will have to.
I really hope to get back to the track soon, but work does not seem to allow that at this time.
Ohh well its been down for 2 years, I guess I can wait another

I'm a n00b
Hey everyone. I'm a n00b here since I just got my 87 TA and it's only got the 305 w/Edelbrock Carb. Anyone have any idea's on what the best way to increase my HP would be for a reasonable amount of money?!?!($400-$1000)?!?!
Thx!-Greg

Wow, you need to find some smaller, darker pictures (this is coming from a dialup user)

Interesting cold air setup… does it get in the way of steering at all?

Im ditching the accessories under the blower and going with a manual box. Think I will be able to do something similar (take fresh air) by going straight down?
There is not really any room I don't think, But procharger does make a rubber thing that goes over the drivers inner fenderwell.
Then you could cut the battery tray and go straight down through
there.
