Yeah this was the only vid I could find of Rick's Camaro..... I saw the car run an 8.67 @167mph at the Orlando World Street Nats in the DR class and from what it says on BMR's website it has run a best of 8.57 @170mph with a 1.49 60'......

better be going fast than that if he wants to keep up with next year's DR class. with mickey t's coming out with their new tire, we're going to see some VERY fast runs. regardless, 8.80's on a "Street Tire" is very fast...

well, when i went to PRI last month, i stopped by the M/T booth and saw that they have a new Drag Radial tire coming out in mid April of this year. anyhow, all of the research has shown a very HUGE gain in traction and top end speed. a guy out in Cali. doing the testing with the PSCA had a 9.2 second mustang when he ran the BFG tires. they slapped a set of 275/60/15 m/t drag radials on it and it ran an 8.6. testing shows that a .2-1.0 second increase is to be expected just by switching tires. here is a link to the m/t site and a pic of the new tire.

unless the organizations put some serious restrictions on the class, we will see 7 second DR passes. i know people running 8.4's on BFG's and those m/t's are CRAZY!

Big Daddy has already run 8.05 @181mph on BFG DRs with his single turbo Mustang.....

Here is a video of that pass....

I'm sure sooner or later we will see a 7 second pass on the BFG DRs (I think Big Daddy will be the first to do it) and with the new M/T drag radials who knows how fast they will go

big daddy also has a VERY altered rear suspension. that was a car that was built solely to see how fast you could go on the DR tires. it was not built to DR Class specs. his suspension on his mustang is very similar to the suspension on our f-bodies. the fastest "legal" DR pass was like 8.3X.
