Got the chance to run the new motor!
I got a chance to run my new 406 last week and the results are great!!! On motor it went a 6.94 in the 1/8th @102mph I sprayed it with a 150shot and it went 6.30s @108. I am still trying to get my converter right. I have tried 2 combos so far and I think this last one will be the right one for what I want it to do. The last 2 were just to tigh out of the hole. In all I am satisfied so far. I will be spraying 200 then 250 in a week or 2 . I am looking for some 6.0's.
Car weighed 3417 with me in it and a full bottle. motor is a 406cid with 12:1 comp, afr heads, custom solid roller, action plus "tall intake and a custom built quickfuel 950 cfm carb

Looking at a mid 9sec pass. Good work. I've enjoyed reading up on your setup and following your progress, keep us posted.

Nice times!
One of these days I'll figure out how some of you with what should be a relatively heavy car manage to get them so light. I've owned a few 3rd gens now and I've never managed to get one under the low 3400# range without empty (and I'm about 300# so my race weight is always over 3700-3800#)

That weight is with an 8 point cage, full spohn suspension, a moser 9in rear, and me weighing in at 230. I have removed the from bumper support, rear bumper support, rear speakers, added a fiberglass hood, aluminum heads, took all the stuff out from under the carpet front and rear, skinnies in the front and draglights in the back and I still have the tock 40lb wing on it as well. It weighed 3185 without me in it.
My friend Seans weighs 3218 with him in his and it is a 86 camaro z-28.. It weighs 2998 without him in it.

But my real reason for posting, the rear wing really weighs 40lbs? Didnt know it was that heavy, wonder how heavy the glass replacements are? Makes me wanna ditch my wing scince it's starting to look like crap anyway.
