Toro leafblower supercharger???
I was browsing cardomin.com and came across a kid with a TBI third gen with an electric leaf blower plumbed into his ducting plugged into a power converter. He claims a .5 sec. reduction in E.T... I checked on leaf blowers, and some can blow 200mph. Its only a $150 investment with the power converter, so im seriously thinking about it. I have TPI so i will have to come up with an air filter before the blower. I want my plumbing to be more sealed than his (pic enclosed). Will this work???? I will only hook it up for the track and turn it on at wide open throttle. Im i crazy???
Im all about budget racing, i have some cheap mods i learned from this site and other sources. check my webpage http://www.cardomain.com/id/2quikk4u
tell me what you think about this idea, it is amusing if anything!

i gotta admin it kinda sound liek it'd be cool, but i dont think it would be that great of a mod. Superchargers add a tone thats just, dammit i forgot the word, but its very special. Turbos are cool too but are expensive.

So im the guinny pig for this experiment huh????
I'll try it once it gets a bit warmer here in WI. I can always use the blower and converter if it don't work. I will document everything with my G-Tech.........
I'll keep it updated on my site.

I posted this origanal message on 4 boards. I found the kid who actually did it. He supposedly dyno'ed this and improved +9hp and +14 tq. He claimed .5 seconds on his site. I know this isn't worth the effort. A good ram air system would do the same effect.
Check my site and i'll show you how i dropped .2 tenths for $10
I dropped my blazer's 0-60 .4 seconds for $30...........

All the negativity and
that I've been seeing in response to this post has got me motivated.
I would actually be willing to wager that, there are greater hp per dollar gains to be found by using a leafblower to pressurize your intake tract than the hp per dollar gains found by using either a K&N air filter or underdrive pulleys, or both.
The loser buys a leafblower and pays for the dyno session.
