Exploding Idler pulley!

I was working on my car and saw some ball bearing's laying around. I guess it's time to put my cog on. I am going to blow up my p600 before I put my D-1 on. Anybody ever put a cog belt on a p600? how long did it live?

because i want to race it at cecil this weekend. I don't have time to make a new mounting plate and tune the D-1. I had the pullies made a while ago so I figured I will use them. When I opened the blower up I was suprised to see how light duty it was next to the D-1

biggtime,
You going to Cecil Sat night for the street shootout?
If so give me a descript on your car so I can look you up.

Tom, Remember I had everything made...The Idler has 3 bearings in it. I have another i'm putting on the top to try to keep some of the bounce out. I had 2 setups made One for me and one for blownss. They weren't cheap but better than the cog S__T ATI sells. I made it for the P600 before I bought my D-1. So next week I will be starting all over again. In my gallery there are pics of the bottom cog pulley in the projects page.

No I had Idlers made with the 3 bearings. Since this is the p600 setup i used a 1440-8m-50. The bottom is a 81 and I maxed the blower out at 6500engine rpm. I have a 1600-8m for the D-1 with a 40 upper. Blownss has the same lower, factory ATI D1-SC with a 36 tooth upper.
