I am building a 335tpi motor right now but i need help deciding if this is a good cam to go with http://www.lingenfelter.com/lingenfe...d=24&pf_id=489 it the 530.560.? has anyone used this cam? does it sound good? by the way i am using edelbrock heads will that work ok with 10.1 compression on the 335tpi? thanks,bryan

 

The duration is really good, but that is alot of lift to run...especially on a TPI motor. Although this entirely depends on what you will be doing for intake mods?? What are your plans for the intake? Those heads should flow pretty good but if you still have the stock intake on it, I would go with a smaller cam.

Just for reference I have untouched LB9 heads and untouched plenum/runners/intake and I am running this Comp Cam:

.210/.220 duration @ .050 lift
264/274 advertised duration
.480/.480 lift
112LSA
108 intake centerline

It is pretty mild and still leaves me some room to do head and intake mods while keeping the same camshaft.

 

i am running an edelbrock intake with slp runners and probaly port the throttle body.

 

also i am planning to turbo down the road with a t76
