How much CR with 6-8lbs. boost?

Hey guys right now i have my 383 and 700r4 tranny out of my car and thinking about buying the holley 144 supercharger with 6-8lbs boost. Right now my 383 has 10.5:1 CR. What will it boost it up to? I hope its not to much..... anyways any input will be great

I have a question. If this is true, then how are people able to run mulitple (8+) lbs of boost on higher compression engines with pump gas? Those numbers must not be intercooled boost.

right.

that link is about roots blowers, which aren't intercooled...save for a couple really special designs.

There are many factors to consider, not just intercooling though it probably plays the biggest part. It depends also on how efficient that intercooling is, how much the air is heated before the intercooler, and how detonation resistant the combustion chambers are. Aluminum heads play a factor as well.
At any rate, if you have a proper setup 6 psi won't be a problem, I personally would lower the compression and run more boost though.

It's called Chagrin Falls. Sorry to drift off topic. Just curious.

Yes that site shows non intercooled #'s
I was running 15lbs on a 144 (although much less displacement than daddy33) on 100 octane no intercooler but I had 7.5:1 static compression. With that said I also was on the edge and replaced several pistons over the years that I had that setup.
