Can i run a carburetorated turbo setup?

I was just wondering because i never see anyone running turbo with a carb. Also if this is possible, for this setup what would you recommend, a 383 stroker in a 3rd gen (obviously) 8.0:1 compression twin turbo or single turbo? I know there's a lot more to it than that but i'm just kind of tossing around ideas. thanks for the replies.

Considering when carbs, turbos, and EFI came into being, the obvious answer is "yes" (the original turbo Regal was a q-jet).

However, this is a topic for the Power Adder forum, rather than carb.

There is a whole board over at turbomustangs.com for turbo carb setups (don't fret, there's more than just ford people over there). Lots of good info to be found there. Here's a great example of what's possible (just pretend it's a f-body):
