are you spraying off the line or are you waiting to hit the nitrous? cuz that 60' isnt too good if your spraying off the line. i got a 60' of 2.057 with my 305. i pulled a 14.84 when i get my l98 with my HSR, heads, cam, headers, 125 shot ill be pulling 12's easy

Well, I bought my L98 with a little over 70K miles on it… it had a SLP cold air intake and cat back on it (at some point the muffler got changed to the dynomax ultraflow welded off of my ’83, probably about $70 new). It ran 13.59@100 with a 1.86 60’. Took the NX GenX kit off of my ’97 and slapped it on and ran an 11.8@114 with a 1.81 60’ (both times on stock radials).

Oh, somewhere in there I slapped a transgo shift kit because it started slipping/shifting slow on the 1-2 shift and that fixed it for the time being.

I’m actually probably well under $1000 total invested in the car, but that is because I bought it for less then what I sold some of the spare parts that came with it off for and didn’t buy anything for it new (and even new the NX, dynomax parts that I would have used and something that I would have made for a cold air intake would have run much less then $1K) … well, till this current round of mods… we’ll see how fast it goes this year…

holy crap man how big is that shot you spraying. that has to be around 200 to drop you almost 2 full seconds. impressive times though. thats with stock rims and tires?

The guy that I bought the car from had the original, ’87 vintage goodyear zr’s stored in the attic on the original high tech, 16x8” rims. I had to burn like 1/2-2/3 the tread off of them before they hooked OK, but I eventually got them working (I figured that if I destroyed them there was no great loss since they were originally so hard that they were almost undriveable on the street). I tried running the car on some 275 50 15 bfg DR’s which once I warmed them would dead hook (the goodyears required me “driving” it out of the hole) but I was always down .02-.04 in the 60’ with them.

To be honest, I’m not positive how big the shot was (as dumb as that sounds), I just left the pills in that I had in there when I had the setup on my WS6. I thought they were 150’s but they might be 175s (I also have 200’s and 225’s, but I’m pretty sure that they were never installed on my WS6).
