Possible turbo probject add on

I currently have a brand new, not even run, 383 with a 510 int/exh lift cam, holley 750, weiand team g, 1.94 1.60 cast heads, Pro Mag rocker arms, and all with a stock crank and hyper pistons. I was tossing around the idea of putting a turbo or even 2 on it. I have been reading alot about the junkyard turbo setups, etc. and was starting to think if my hypers would be able to handle a twin turbo setup. Most of the stuff sounds like jibberish to me as I do not know much about power adders. Any insight would be great.

Could I do a tt setup?

Will the hypers handle it?

Types of turbos to look at?

Other options?

Hyper pistions can be made to hold up if you eliminate detonation (good tune). What is your static C/R?

Your not going to be able to run much boost with that high of a comp ratio unless your going to use a couple intercoolers and water/meth injection.

That kind leaves a lot of room for guessing. But, at least it ain't crazy high. With the efficiency of todays turbos and related components, 9:1 wouldn't scare me. I run 10psi through my Z24 witha stock Venture Minivan engine in it (stock cast pistons), which has a 9.5:1 SCR. It is not intercooled, but I do spray it with water and alcohol.

Basically I want to do a little something "extra" than just a decent motor. I am planning on around 400hp out of this one but wanted to do something different but not change what I have already put into it. Which would be a better route, nitrous or turbo(s)? I kind of wanted to stay away from nitrous but am open to suggestions. Remember that this is something that I want to add on and not get crazy with like dumping thousands of dollars into. Should I just forget about a turbo setup?

I don't normally try to talk people out of turbo projects, but this may be an exception. I guess it all depends on what you want. I was going to say youy shouldn't build a turbo system if your goal is only 400hp, but then again, I don't think I'm quite there either. However, my goal was not power, but I wanted something unique. I like the sound and feel of a turbocharged engine. FOr me, there was no question, turbo all the way.

And there is easily potential in the system for way more than 400hp. I think my current turbo system could support ~600+hp at 15-20psi of boost or so if it were pumping into the right engine combo (a stock 90k L98 won't get e to that goal). Thats my long term goal.

Sorry for the misunderstanding but I am planning on around 400hp without a turbo. Again, sorry for the confusion. I am trying to be a "little different." At the same time if it is a waste I am not going to do it. If my engine, as is, cannot handle the project then I won't even bother. That is why I am asking. I have no clue as I am new to the power adder scene.
