Engine ideas to support 9PSI

Were going to be installing a basic ATI Procharger kit on my GF's 89 RS. Currently the car supports a 89 350 TPI from a Formy with 100+ Unknown miles. We are going to be rebuilding the motor. and this is what we had planned. Car will be raced "maybe" 1-2 times a year. This will be a sunday/show car basically.

Block 30 over and align hone so we could use ARP studs for the mains. Stock crank, H beams, and weisco 8:5:1 pistons.

Cam will be a blower cam from Comp. 212/220 444/444 114 LSA

Heads will be stock L98 gasket matched and new springs and screw in studs. Intake will be stock base ported and asm runners. INjectors will be around the 30 range.

Think this would be good on a budget? I see ATI toss their kits on stock 350's with no problem so I am thinking this little rebuild might be better.

Hey

Certainly don't need H beams.

Good set of I beams, some forged pistons, and you'd be all set. You could even still use that H beam money to buy yourself a cast stroker crank.

Those ATI kits seem outrageously expensive...You guys should hold off till i finish up my turbo kit this winter.
