Is this Wiring Setup right? will it work?

OK, i have a "rival" in the local car club... he has a mustang, i have my camaro....we've publicly called each other out, and its hyped up pretty big.

long story short, he acquired a nitrous kit, and would now whoop my ***. he doesn't know i know about it. even though im not a "nitrous kind of guy" i decided to beat him at his own game.. I've also "acquired" a kit for the short term.

this is the wiring schematic I've come up with. my idea is simple:

1. the arm light will come on if its armed.
2. when the shift light comes on, it cuts off.
3. it only comes on at WOT

i have a manual trans, and i will lift between shifts, but i figure the shift light relay will be a nice safety.
i do have a new fuel pump (walbro 255) and like i said, this is a temp thing.. going to run it once this Sunday to test it, then the race is next weds. (a week from today)

PLEASE tell me any potential problems, or anything you see wrong with this layout. i tried making it clear.

BTW, the reason for the master switch on the ground, and not the power feed to the 'noids is the location.. there's a nice power distribution point right there on the car. the relays will always have power, but no ground. Is this unsafe?
also, i know the "armed" light will go out when the shift light comes on... im OK with that, but if you have a better suggestion, please let me know. the armed switch is not a double pole switch...

well, my first consern is that whatever chip you're running has the shift light setup at a high enough RPM not to interfere with the run.

do you have some way of preventing from it turning on at too low an rpm?

after a good bit of trial and error, my engine seems to like me shifting at 5800 for best ETs. well, its set for 5800. really that means i shift at about 5850 - 5900..

no, i dont have anyway to prevent it from coming on early. im just hoping that when i launch, it doesnt bog.

Get a Window switch, You can set low RPM limit (will not engage before) and high RPM limit (will cut off at).

I'm not so sure about the shift light idea, I like it, but I think it will cause issue AT the shift, since you don't shift until it comes on, meaning that the nitrous is then cut off, before the shift.

You know, I thought about the shift light idea and, well, if the idea is disable the N2O above a certain RPM, that will work but since you’re not burning chips you don’t really have the means to tweak this right. If you did I’d probably just set it for about 5900 or 5950 so you have time to get your shift in without loosing some at the top of each gear.

If the intension is to cut out the N2O when your shifting (letting you power shift and not spray on the shifts), then what I would do is run it into the clutch switch instead, that way as soon as you press the clutch in the spray stops till you let it go… power shift to your hearts content and not worry about spraying on the shifts (honestly, I’ve sprayed right through power shifts before, but I’ve also blown up my share of rears and clutches).

Raven is right, a window switch is nice because that solves the low and high rpm problem and you can still have your shift light, but if this is just temporary then it’s hard to justify.

well its wired up now.
finished it up late lastnight, havent sprayed it yet. i suppose i'll find out if it works as expected tonight.

since its coming right off, i cant justify buying the window switch.. its basicly on for one night at the strip.
