im gonna put an f1R on my car, and i was wondering if anyone had one or even a smaller blower, and had pics of what they did with the inlet?
and does anyone have any experience with treadstone intercoolers? good? bad?

For some reason when I try and post my pix it says they are too large.. I have a bunch of my p1sc install, you can kind of view it in my sig pic...
**
any suggestions on saving pix so they can fit? Mine are all like 400kb's or so... I can post more if I figure it out...

what are the specs on the motor?
how much boost etc.
im gonna go about 8:1 compression and run around 20psi on the street, and hopefully max out the blower on race fuel at the track.
did you have to modify the strut tower to fit the blower?
the f1r is a big compressor lol
Are you still running A/C? If not, ProCharger has a carb Chevy bracket that would bring the blower in closer to the motor. You'd have to use some universal brackets to relocate the alt. to the pass. side, and ProCharger has a bracket that locates a Jayco style P/S pump down low out of the way. Plus the crank pulley they would have you use with the carb Chevy bracket wouldn't stick out as far, putting less load on the crank snout.

the problem is i dont think you can get the blower closer to the motor than it is with a cog setup, because of how wide the belt is......and i need a cog setup.

406 Little M
9.0:1
Comp Solid Roller
AFR 210 ported
Port matched Miniram 1207
F1R cogged at 63K (18lbs)
TH400
Moser 9" 3.70
I had to make an indent in the strut tower to make it fit. It wasnt that bad.
How fast do you plan on running?

sounds like your motor is very similar only mine is carbed.....same heads.....im going to get a custom blower grind from comp, right now my cam is .620 lift and 244 deg at .050......i want to stay just as aggressive, only with a blower grind, and run in the area of 20psi on pump gas, and max the blower out with race gas........after some lengthy conversations with the ATI people and some serious thought.......i SHOULD be able to make 800hp on pump fuel with relative ease.....i'd say right now im shooting for low 10's.....but im playing with a manual here, so we'll see how that goes haha.
the strut tower is a load of my mind, i was pokin under the hood the other day and i was like "oh man, i know how big that blower is, this looks ugly......
any problems you ran into in the process??
I dont recall any problems with the mounting. It's been 3 years but this is what I remember:
Make sure you Heli-coil the head that the bracket mounts to. I also used a high grade all thread instead of bolts for the bracket.
You should have NO problem making 800hp with this blower even on pump gas. I am making right around 1100hp with a mix of C16 and pump at 24 degrees of timing.
Good luck
Email me at THESS406@COMCAST.NET if you have any questions.

This is my motor.
http://www.stealthram.com/superchevyarticle.html
it made 780 at 6100 with 12.5lbs of boost. Using a D1-SC.
The compressor was pulleyd for 15lbs from procharger but it only made 12.5. I think cause the motor was a little efficient.

thats nice man....is that an f1???
i was gonna do almost exactly that, but run the filter up by the back of my cowl under the hood.....kinda keep it out of the way and in a high pressure/cold air area.
is your intercooler mounted parallel to the ground?

the intercooler is nearly parallel yes, but i have done an inlet in alum. that push air into it..
An F1r is bigger, and i dont think it will fit unless you cut in the whell fender or build a custom bracket of some kind..
