Super Charger
yes, but the type of pistons will have a key roll in the amount of boost you'll be able to run, which will already be lesser due to the compression...
- reminds me why we run blown methanol, 30% over-drive on an 871 w/ 12.5:1 compression, motor turns 10k, so the blower is zingin'

vortec supercharger i have stock heads but they are all been redone for a 383 and im running keith black pistons
What series Vortec? Y, S, T ...etc? hyper or forged KB's? - sounds like you'd be in good shape, biggest thing is you need to know is your top ring gap. KB's have specail ring-gap requirements due to the higher mounted top-ring. Make sure it's set loose enough to allow for a boost application. - check KB's web-site for their specs.

Hypereutectic aluminum
Pistons, Hypereutectic, Flat Top, 4.030 in. Bore, 1/16 in., 1/16 in., 3/16 in. Ring Grooves, Chevy, Set of 8
is this a good piston for a 383

yeah, KB makes good pistons. - not ring sizes, ring gap . As in the space between the ends of the top ring, when in the block.(check KB web-site on how this is measured) KB's are very particular about this.

With the higher compression and hyper pistons you will have to be very very very carefull about detination.......lower boost.....lower timing.......run on the rich side and keep your octane level higher
