Walbro 255 intank. Which one?

Really quick question. Its seems that my intank is on its way out.

I have a Bosch 910 inline one here I can put in right now, but the general feeling on this board is that when my intank one dies the inline one will be working too hard.

So i want to swap in a Walbro 255. Problem is, my supplyer has 2 listed

Walbro 255 341
Walbro 255 342

and doesnt know which one i need. Apparently the inlets are in different locations, and he doesnt know which one i need.

Help.

I'm no expert on Walbro pumps but I think you need a GSS340. The 341 and 342 have inlets designed for import cars. This page, http://www.autoperformanceengineerin...l/fppumps.html may help you out.

Hmmmmm

Not to steal this post,,,but this brings up another question. Which walbro are people using that will bolt in a 3rd gen. Since it was mentioned the pump is no longer available? I was contemplating this swap in the near future just for piece of mind reasons,,,,but I don't want to modify lines and fitting to make something work. Surely there are people out there still installing Walbro's in their tanks? Any ideas? thanks, Larry.

the xx169 pump installs right in place of the stock pump, it's what i'm running on my supercharged engine, it's the high pressure version, they make a low pressure version also

Where did you get that information? I've gotten 3 GSS340's (stamped as such on their steel cases) in the last month at the shop, 2 for myself...
