Engine: LS7 and 392 HEMI
What combo would you go with?
Hypothetical here, just seeing what some combos might look like and cost. The object is to haul as much *** as possible both on the street and the strip w/ pump gas. The things you HAVE to work with (ie. these are set in stone):
1) An ATI Procharger D-1 w/ 3 core intercooler w/ 20 psi of boost
2) A mini-ram intake setup
3) AFR alum. heads (size not yet determined)
4) A Ford 9" rear (ratio not yet determined)
5) A bulletproof 700R4
Now, the questions:
1) What size engine would you choose:
355 or 383?
2) What size AFR heads do you choose? And what compression ratio do you want?
3) What cam do you go with?
4) What stall speed do you pick for the TQ converter?
5) What gear ratio do you put in the rear end?
6) What size fuel injectors do you get?
7) How much does LABOR cost to just put the ENGINE together?

well as far as engine size i would think that its more a question of how much $$$ you wanna spend. you can make a short rod stroker ( 400 crank and rods) and use .030 350 pistons or go with the 5.7 or 6" rods which will run into more$$.
i think that your compression should be between 8:1-9:1. might want to go with a dish piston and 76cc chambers.
i had some more #s for cams and such for nitrous/forced induction systems but i can't fine em right now.
as far as rear gear, if its a street/strip with a 700r, i would go with a 3.73 or 4.11. but i think that there was a post on another board about speedo gears with a 700r and 4.11 gears. so you might want to think about that also.
