turbo BUTTON???
Hey guys, i recall in a post, someone said they ran like 15PSI of turbo boost on street gas, but can literaly hit a button and increased it to 25 psi for racing (race gas).
How can this be done? I have been weighing the options of a centerfugal supercharger, vs a single/twin turbo. (I have learned it's all about personal opinion between the two).
I like the idea of being able to switch boost ratings on the fly, that really showed me a option turbos might have that really interests me. But arn't turbos totally not street legal? i have heard that somewhere, when centrafugal s-chargers are 50 state legal.
Thanks for the read!

yup, an electronic boost controller (albeit a nice expensive one) will allow you to do that. technically, i dont think any turbos on our engines are smog legal but if it passes then what is the difference right? unless you live in **** california where they probe both car and you for emissions.
That was me. I run an electronic boost controller. You control boost from the interior, and an electronic stepper motor manipulates the boost pressure to the wastegate or wastegate actuator. I actually have a wireless remote control on my steering wheel that I hit with my thumb to change from one boost level setting to another. When you hit the button, it is like you just activated a 200hp shot of nitrous. Even the supercharger guys can change their...oh, wait...you can't! Ha-ha!

231? AHHHHHHHH!!
I went through 2 of those turkeys in my TTA.
Then I grew up and bought another V8.
What brand and model boost controller did you buy? If you got a cheesy manual ****-type, don't forget to mount it as close to your wastegate as possible, out of your interior.

More than likely you will find me at the Shell station or at the finish line playing look-out. Oh BTW, DO NOT GO IN THE CROWN GAS STATION. PG COUNTY POLICE ARE WRITING "SPECIAL" $1000 LOITERING AND PARKING TICKETS JUST FOR US DRAG RACERS!Youve been warned, freind to freind!
