Ryan,

Your O2 voltage is dangerously low!! DO NOT GO TO WOT. What is your fuel pressure at this point?

You've got e-mail.

If you read my last post on your thread about your tach needle twitching you saw I mentioned that you might be running on the edge of being lean.

Well, you seem to be falling over the edge. LOL.

The twitch is indeed from misfire because your mixture is too lean.

I'm not a big fan of stock O2 sensor voltage tuning because it isn't a dead accurate science, (voltages vary to much from sensor to sensor, and aren't accurate enough for fine tuning) but your O2 volts are very low indicating that you most likely are running lean.

Also your knock retard is 8°, showing detonation. This is probably do to your lean condition because your timing doesn't look too advanced at 32° BTDC. In fact if you get your mixture richened up you should be able to run a little more timing than this.

I bumped up the fuel pressure at my girlfriends a few minutes ago and made another full throttle run.

Engine RPM 5625
vehicle speed 90mph
oxygen sensor 937volts
02 cross counts 225
spark advance 31.8
knock sensor 17 counts
knock retard 7 degrees
Injector pulse 11.5 mS

I'm now getting 7degrees of knock retard but I noticed my low/mid end performance took a turn for the worst. I am not sure the exact FP I'm running but my electric FP gauge is showing over 50psi at WOT.

It would help to know excact fuel pressure but will go with what we have lol.

If you still have detonation (it seems you do with the 7° knock retard) You may still be lean. You may have some other problem causing detonation also though.

You might need a PROM with less injector pulse width at the lower to mid RPM range & a little more pulse at high RPM. It seems as though you are running overly rich at lower RPM and leaning out up high.

Have someone watch your knock counts & knock retard as you accelerate. Try to see at what point & RPM the detonation actually begins to occur.

I'm going to follow ******* advice and take a run without the blower . If I still get 7-8 degrees of knock retard I know it is false. And is probably the result of other under the hood noise (my roller rockers?)

The car ran really well with 43psi all the way from idle to its 5500 rpm limit. I hope it's just false. Either way though, I'll be out of a few horses.

Have you taken a good look at the spark plugs? Make a full throttle pass, shut the car off immediately after the pass let the engine cool enough to get the plugs out and then pull them. Do this right after the pass to get the best reading. Oh yeah, it's best to start with a fairly fresh set before doing this. If you see rounding of the edge of the center electrode or you see any small specks on the ceramic insulator then you have the real thing. Another good idea if you are new to supercharged tuning (or if you are seasoned at it for that matter) is to get an exhaust temp pyrometer. It will allert you to high exhaust temps from being lean or from detonation. for what it can save in parts meltdown and for the HP you can get from a better calibration it is well worth the cost (about $200-$300). Some even have an audible alarm at a settable point. If you go lean or detonate suddenly for some unkown reason it will alert you right away.

Be careful with this. I wouldn't want to hear about it getting cooked. I have a buddy that burned holes in the pistons of a $15000 Lingenfelter 383 running a Vortech. He never heard any detonation so he assumed there was none.

Since you do have the Auto Xray (or EZ Link, since they both have this feature), do yourself a favor and do a "data Capture". It allows you to capture al ~43 sensor readings in 1 or 2 second intervals. Use it by pickng your spot, (its already counting and recording the 14 most current seconds of data, then start your acceleration and hit "enter". This then stores the last 14 seconds of data and begins recording the next 14 seconds of data, when done, you have a full run of data to compare, not just an instantaneous point. This will allow you to see where the knock retard comes in, and get a better view of O2 mv, etc...
