What would be better to use on a V6: Twin Turbos or a Supercharger?
I am wanting to increase my acceleration and power in my '88 F'bird V6 (haven't decided yet on which V6 to swap ny 2.8 L with; a 3.4 L, 3.8 L, or a 4.3 L) and I was wondering which you would recommend; Twin Turbos or a Supercharger? Also, which would go into my engine with the least amount of modifications (I would just like to know what I'm getting myself into) and which would be more likely to wear out faster?

I dont understand why this question keeps getting asked, but it is not worth supercharging or turbocharging a v6. It would be more effect and probaly cheaper to get a new engine. Not another V6, but a 350 v8 or bigger. You would get more power out of a V8 than that dinky engine.
Your V6 is not built for a blower or turbo, you would need to rebuild it if you wanted it to last long anyways.

Thanks for the votes of confidence in a V6, but no one has really answered my question yet. Can anybody tell me which would be better; A Supercharged V6, a Turbocharged V6, or a Twin Turbocharged V6? And also, which would be more likely to wear out faster or have more problems? Thanks in advance.

Here we go again boasting about the TTA's. Yes, they are awesome cars, as are GN's, GNX's, and turbo t's. The engine is built for a turbo. Putting a or twin turbo on a 3.4L f-bod motor is different than building a Buick 3.8.
To answer your ?, twin turbo would be the "best" setup, but only if you build the engine around it. By putting TT on an engine, you're not just looking for "a little kick in the pants," You're talking alot of power! There are many more variables in forced induction than just putting the hardware on there.

check that out! I e-mailed Bryan and he told me the engine was making nearly 400hp! I believe the crank and rods are stock and the pistons were custom. Apparently the engine held up very well.
If you dont have a ton of money, just sell the V6 car for a LT1 4th gen. They are going for around 7 grand and come stock with 285 hp and have lots of potential.

If you REALLY want a V6 cheap, get a 3.8 Buick turbo engine. Go run 12's EASY! Most people WILL NEVER KNOW WHAT HIT THEM.
If you want to spend a lot of money on a V6, find a 4.3, build it up with GOOD FORGED INTERNALS, and turbocharge that. Boy would you surprise a lot of folks.
If REALLY wanna fly and money is no object, build a CENTRIFUGALLY supercharged or turbocharged SMALL BLOCK CHEVY! You will rule!
CUBIC INCHES = POWER whether is normally aspirated or blown. Period.
Dont waste time with that 2.8, 3.1, or 3.4.
Oh BTW. Before all the Buick V6 guys start flaming me, I'll say this. I know that MOST 11 second GN's need RACE FUEL and a whole lot of boost (20psi and up) to go that fast. I know of more than a few SUPERCHARGED small block V8 cars UNDER 383 cubic inches that run low 11's and high 10's ON PUMP GAS (under 20psi in the cases I've seen)!
You can never beat the combination of cubic inches, airflow, and boost!

I have a 98 Grand Prix GTP. Basically stock. As soon as I get a 3rd Gen F-body I will let you know. Money is an issue right now.
