Nitrous jets....
Nitrous jets....
I bought a carb. kit for cheap last week. It's a NOS Super Powershot kit. I bought a NOS fogger nozzle yesterday. I plan on using this kit on an EFI motor, I know the jets are different for carb. vs. EFI when it comes to calibration. I had a chart that told you what fuel and nitrous jets to use for each application, but I can't find it right now. Does anyone know the differnt jets in respect to each power level? Or maybe have a chart like the one I lost?
I'd like to know the jets to use in the steps from 50HP, 75HP, 90HP, 125HP, 150HP, and 175HP shots w/ EFI.
Thanks.

Hey there,I'm new to the board but have been reading it for awhile.Everyone has so much in common there hasn't been a need for me to post a question yet,but I can help.
50hp 37/42
75hp 42/47
100hp 47/53
125hp 55/61
150hp 73/82
p.s. the nitrous ALWAYS gets the smaller jet

75hp 42/47
100hp 47/53
125hp 55/61
150hp 73/82

Thanks for the response. The jet sizes you gave me are for EFI, correct?
My buddy has an NX kit and the jets for the 50 & 75 HP levels were way different.
Thanks again.

Those jet sizes are from my sniper and fogger kit, they're universal for any NOS kit.Not any nitrous kit, just the NOS kits.
I know that confuses some of the locals around my area because they all seem to figure NOS is short for nitrous, not a brand of nitrous kits.

Ok, not to sound dumb - but the NOS brand jets are the same from carb. to EFI applications? I have a NOS brand Super Power Shot system. I'm ditching the carb plate and I bought a fogger nozzle.I have jets from 100HP to 175HP levels.
I want to try the 50 HP jets in it on my 2000 S10 for now. Then transfer the kit to my car w/ a 150 - 175 level.

To the best of my knowledge, yes they are the same.I had to phone Holly to get smaller jet sizes and respective power ratings. If you have any doubt, don't hesitate to call the Holly tech line. That's what they're there for, and they've helped me out a few times.
Thanks, you have been a great help. I apreciate you taking the time to answer my question.

The fuel jet would or at least should not be the same for a carb set up as for an EFI setup.
Carb system fuel pressures are jetted to supply the correct amount of fuel with 5-7 PSI fuel pressure.
TBI EFI uses 12 PSI- 15 PSI
Multiport injected EFI (TPI) uses 40 PSI to 45 PSI fuel pressure.
Using fuel jets sized for carb use on an EFI setup would result in an excessively rich condition.
For multiport EFI apps, the nitrous jet is bigger than the fuel jet.

Nitrous Express rates their systems at rear wheel horsepower, not crankshaft horsepower. They guarentee you will be within 2% of the advertised power at the rear wheels, If you use their system as per their instruction.
These are the NX jet sizes for a single fogger nozle multiport EFI system with a bottle pressure of 950-1050 PSI and a fuel pressure of 40-45 PSI
<table border="10" cellspacing="1" cellpadding="5"><tr><td>HP</td><td>n2o</td><td>fuel</td></tr>
<tr><td>50</td><td>35</td><td>20</td></tr><tr><td>75</td><td>41</td><td>24</td></tr><tr><td>100</td><td>52</td><td>33</td></tr><tr><td>150</td><td>62</td><td>38</td></tr></table>
Regardless of brand, you size the nitrous jet based on the nitrous bottle pressure and the amount of horsepower you want to add.
You size the fuel jet based on the fuel pressure and to get the correct air/fuel ratio for the n2o jet you are using.
If you are running your system too rich you will need to run a larger n20 jet (more nitrous for a given amount of horsepower) to make the same power as a system with optimized air/fuel ratio.
You'll notice that the n2o jets sizes I posted are simular to those posted above but the fuel jets I posted are much smaller.
I'm guessing those posted above are for a carb system.
