Supercharged TBI

Hi. My bro and I just finished swapping a 350 TBI motor out of a 92 truck into his 92 camaro. It is a 5 speed car and it does go good for a stock truck motor, but he was wondering if it is at all possible to put a roots type blower meant for a 4 barrel setup onto his motor and get the TBI throttle body adapter to adapt his throttle body to the top of the supercharger? He has a cowel hood, so clearance is not a problem. Anyone who has ever done this before? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks all.

I'm not expecting a lot....It's a stock 350, so if I can get around 300-350 flywheel horse I'll be happy. I know it would have to be tuned, but I just want to know if it can be done and work decently.......TBI superchargers are a lot more than 4 barrel superchargers!

biggest problem will be clearence - even with a cowl hood, the snout and pulley assembly will be a nightmare...

there is a guy who put a 144 on his firebird, i forgot what he used for pulleys, but i can tell you it was a vbelt (from the factory) car... Maybe if he is still around he'll chime in...

Hey, nice to see a familiar face around here, haha. The biggest clearence area I figured would be how the snout would fit by the tensioner for the serp setup. We'll see, it's only an idea for now, but I think it would be really cool and one of a kind to see a roots blower TBI car.......probably would move pretty good too.

root's blowers = least efficient blower type....

i'd rather see him toss a whipple on it
