More info on the car,but probably the most HP can be found with the search button.
Nitrous sounds like a good bet. Easy to install, and take off if you ever need to. A supercharger, or a turbo sounds like it might be a bit too involved at this point.

from what ive heard everywhere the 305 is tough and will last a while thats why im throwing on a 125 shot kit as soon as it arrives.

exhaust, intake manifold, cam, heads, rear axle... not necessarily in that order.

well i got a crappy 305 not really extensive mods on it but a bit of a difference. for now ive changed out to 245/50/16 rims and high perform. tires for traction, edelbrock 14x3 open element air cleaner, gutted cat(it was broken), 2.5" Dynomax catback. with these i felt a bit of a difference not too much but has more ***** behind it and sounds hell of a lot better. but my nitrous was sent out today ill let you know how that goes so far the nitrous cost me far less because i got it off a member on this board with it being brand new and a bottle off ebay and still have plenty money left to play with the kit with if i want.

Honestly I wouldnt be so fast to put nitrous on your car. Whether your TPI,TBI, or carb learn how to tune and do a 250 hp build on your car its not too hard with vortec heads a mid range cam and good intake setup. After that turbo/supercharge for more power as needed

depends what you got and what you want if you have tpi thats easy to put a turbo/supercharger on compared to a tbi which i think ive only seen 1 person ever with one in one of these motors. nitrous is easy and cheaper than both of those but has risks you have to take and learn how to be safe with it. cams and heads require disassembly of the motor and what not but can be done not too hard. but if you do mod with cams, heads, supercharger, turbo you have to learn how to burn chips to tune your motor to the application
