Turbo Confusion
Turbo Confusion
I've read turbos l,ll & lll and even played with some of the math calculations but I must admit that picking a turbo can be confusing. I relize that choosing a turbo has to do with your intended useage:mild street,hp street or racing. Anyone know of a turbo calculator that takes these factors into consideration?
Well, while I was reading about the MegaSquirt fuel programmer I came across a calculator like that, the only problem is there is no direct link so here are the directions.
1. Go to http://www.megamanual.com/v22manual/mturbo.htm
2. About 8 paragraphs down there are a couple of hyperlinks.
3. Find the Ray Hall Turbocharging link.
4. This will bring you to a couple of different calculators.
5. Click on the Turbo Match calculator, you fill out some simple engine information and they reccomend a turbo for you.
Hope this is what you were looking for and helps with your turbo choosing.
