i want to learn more so i can pick the proper turbos for a twin setup.
or if you have any suggestions.

i'd replace that stealth ram since it has holes in it.

if you want to cut to the chase, call a company that sells turbos for a recommendation, like Pro-Turbo Systems etc.

"Maximum Boost" by Corky Bell is a really good book to read. Good to have in the house for your calculations as well. It's pretty technical, but if you're going to install your own turbo system, (seriously, not just talk about it on the internet), then you'll want to read it cover to cover.

Drop your CR to as low as you can. With a 383 and the long stroke that gets tricky, but I know there are 22cc dish pistons IIRC, that will bring you to 8.3 or so, with 76cc heads.

How's it looking in beautiful Kelowna? I can't wait to go back to the Okanagan this summer, the snow in Calgary is killing me!

Re: turbo terms

You can keep your 10:1, just have to run less boost. I'm in the process of gathering parts to make a high compression boosted hybrid (FWD/RWD). Guys with FWD V6's are running boost on stock, high mileage, 9.6:1 or more compression without problems.

I agree with Sonix that you should do some research before you go bolting/welding stuff up. Not to discourage you, mine is getting built in my driveway.
