pistons?

Is there any way to tell what kind of pistons are in my 355 shortblock? I bought the engine awhile ago and the seller dident know anything about it. But everything looks real fresh, i would like to know before i consider nitrous

Re: pistons?

They're budget hypereutectic rebuilder pistons. You could put a modest amount of spray on them if you were careful.

Re: pistons?

they arent that bad.... you can run a 150 shot on them fairly safely. well, as long as you keep it tuned right.

Re: pistons?

150 max.. make sure it has nice ring gaps and the tune is spot on.. too rich or too lean will destroy those pistons..
