Paxton SN89 Supercharge Questions Just Purchased!

Just purchased a factory rebuilt SN89 Supercharger kit for my 89 iroc. It is the complete kit with oil cooler for my tpi setup. Have a few questions tho...right now here is the mods I have done:
  • stock 350 lower
  • aluminum vette heads 2.02 ports
  • cam
  • some upper intake porting (airfoil, plenum work)
  • fuel pressure reg. / ignition coil
  • full edelbrock exhaust
My question is will I need to do anything else to the car? Chip? Fuel injectors? Fuel rails? ANYTHING? Car has only 57k on it so low end is still strong...any help would be GREAT! And any advice would also be wonderful! Thanks guys!

Fuel Injectors, and fuel pump, once its installed should get it tuned. Maybe an MSD box with boost retard, and a set of plugs. Although you should be able to run decent boost with the aluminum heads. What are the specs on the cam you're running?

30# injectors and a walbro 255lph call it a day., i would suggest some more lift on that cam and maybe some more duration, make sure the LSA is around 112-114.

I would be worried with the vette heads with the 58cc chambers and boosting it. Your compression is probably somewhere in the 9.75-10.0 range.

Good luck though.

according to the tech at paxton you can run up to 6psi at 10.5:1 cr. and not have any problems as long as your retarding your timming..

You're probably better off starting your own thread instead of pulling up one of these old ones but least your using the search function

Since you have MAF and you're a 305, you might be able to run it as is. Take the chip out and lower the base timing some.
